The subprojects in this area can be divided into two groups: Projects B01–B03 and B08 work on different aspects of modelling multi-phase flows and turbulence as a result of rough layers of deposits. In subprojects B04–B07 the focus is on modelling near-wall chemical reactions and near-wall reaction transport processes.
The insights of these models serve both the understanding of the generic processes of research area A and the simulation of the lead examples of research area C.
